Shadow Sculpt Prt5

So yeah, new PC. Slowly migrating all my old user settings from all the old programs I used before. I dislike windows 8 so far but it’s stable. Stable is all I want right now.
Blocked out her clothes. Currently scratching my head on how best to do her fishnets. The game way, meaning alpha maps or a painted on texture. Or have it sculpted on like a figurine. There’s a million ways to skin this little rabbit. Let the games begin!

Shadow Sculpt Prt4

Merged everything together to check things. Need to sculpt neck and tail to the body. Shrunk the head, feet and hands down to make more uniform but they still look huge for some perceptive reason perhaps. Made place holder hair, never going to sculpt hair manually again for a long time, that was a nightmare haha, smooth curve tubes forever. On to the clothes next!

Shadow Sculpt Prt3

Blocking out her huuuur. Everything is still low res and rough. Rounded and softened her features to make her look like more of a teenager. Not a lot of ref for that on the net, what is both a good and bad thing hah.

Shadow Sculpt

Restarted working on this one so I'm back in the blocking out stage, getting ready to pull out some features and some details like the ears and eyes. Better start using the newer ref Tisane gave me now too.

Morning Gents!

Decided to post a little progress shot of two drawings I'm working on and get some input for some color ideas and all that.
For shade I'm trying to decide if I want both her skirt and boot/things to match her jacket or her top. I'm thinking of making her skirt match her top while the boots keep in touch with the jacket. Or maybe do a different color scheme all together. idk, ideas?
ooooo, I actually meant to post the lines of this one last time but I forgot to save them as a jpeg. Anyway, flat colors on this one and it'll match the last one I did of her. The gloves and shoe/socks will have their little stripes of blue in them later.

Head Shot

Hey guys, a few things I wanted to post up just to show I'm doing something of value.

You may have seen this before but I'm starting to color this one now. Is there anything I should know/do before I dedicate myself to finishing this?

Headshots so that I know wtf I'm doing when animating Shade. I had two more like Shadow's but I didn't fix up her eye in them so bah. Anyway, this was a fun exercise on Mohawks.

A head shot study of Shadow. It's important to do these BEFORE you start animating people! Trust me, I had to fix Shadow's hair several times over because I thought I knew what it looks like from any angle. Turns out I was WRONG!!! Oh well, se la vie.

ooooooo, finished the Venoooooooom. Tell me what you thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiink.

Shadow Gif update

how does this look? still too fast?

edit 1: ugh, it's still too fast. I think blogger has something to do with the speed up of the animation. Lets try uploading it a different way.

edit 2: okay, now it wasn't moving at all. ffffffffffffffff

edit 3: maybe it moves faster on Firefox? I just looked at it in IE and it moves just right...

edit 4: yep, it's firefox that's the culprit. If you want to see the image at the proper speed, you gotta see it in Internet Explorer.

Further animation studies

Further workings on my Shadow and Shade animation. There will be more hair bounce at the end but other than that, what do you guys think? I gotta tell ya, there's a lot of work that goes into this sort of stuff. It's getting harder for me to sit down and work on it now because of it but once I get Shade into the mix, it should be fun again. It'll be interesting drawing two people interacting... on second thought, I think it'll just get harder. bah, we'll see how it goes when I get to it.

oh wow, btw, how fast is it going for you guys? like, way too fast?

Power Girl & Previews

Hey guys! Sorry for being away so long. Here's the Power Girl drawing for the jam. I'm probably going to color it as well and maybe even add more ink in there.
Is it bad that Power Girl's most outstanding feature is the huge cleavage hole in her suite? Regardless, she's awesome. I love Power Girl comics!

And also, here's a sneak peek at what else I'm doing.

and there's also a current page of my Shadow comics that I'm still working on.

Sorry for not posting on here that much lately~

Animation update

I haven't done much from the last time because of a new commission but this is just what I've got so far. Don't worry, all the lines from the key frames will be cleaned up. But yay! Shadow has bouncy hair. Just wait till I get to Shade, she'll have even more to bounce :D

Animation?

hey guys, soooooo... yeah, how does this look? These are about 5 frames apart and I'm planning on doing the whole in between process as well but I wanted to get your take on whether or not this is a good start. Is it too fast? Too slow? Just right? Is it missing something in one of the frames? Should I change something in the image to make it flow better? It was going to be much longer but I'm just going to stop right here and finish what I have first. I need all your impute dudes!
