Human Instrumentality Survivor

Time skip Shinji ;)

I think this may be my favourite song from the original series, there were so many good ones though.

New jam soon btw!

  2. Oh man, this is neat to see! In the new movie I hear they're taking the ending in a new direction. Last time they ended the world, so I'm assuming this time they're taking a more heroic direction and saving it?

  3. Your art looks like chalk. I'm afraid that if I were to touch the screen, it would smear. And I don't want that to happen...

Looks stellar dude. I like the use of shadows around the eyes. Just my opinion though, there seems to be a weird disconnect between the style of the face and the style of the ears. I know you use those ears in your more cartoonish drawings but when done on these, it's a weird combo. Like, the face is all detailed, the eyes, the nose, the dimples on the cheeks, it's all wonderfully done with all the detail and care of a realistic drawing but with the curve and flare of a cartoonist. But then it gets lost in the ears. Just my opinion again but I'd say do more realistic ears when doing this type of drawing and then jump back to this style of ears when your back to your more fluid animation style.

  4. My original idea was so random. I guess it still is. Shinji last man on earth, battling whatever's left in the world, which is probably nothing now that I think about it haha. I hope if the ending is different in the new movie it's still fucked up, i wouldn't be Evangeleon otherwise.

I agree with your crit Red. I usually draw simple ears to stop myself spending too long on a drawing. Here it's clearly super distracting lol. I actually call the other realistic type of ears I draw "slow down ears". Less reflex, more thinking. I'll do a few more realistic ears to turn it into reflex. :)
