Further animation studies

Further workings on my Shadow and Shade animation. There will be more hair bounce at the end but other than that, what do you guys think? I gotta tell ya, there's a lot of work that goes into this sort of stuff. It's getting harder for me to sit down and work on it now because of it but once I get Shade into the mix, it should be fun again. It'll be interesting drawing two people interacting... on second thought, I think it'll just get harder. bah, we'll see how it goes when I get to it.

oh wow, btw, how fast is it going for you guys? like, way too fast?

  1. Good lord man! you never cease to impress me your talent, this piece of animation just keeps getting better,oh the cheeks the cheeks & the simile add that touch of playfulness and cuteness I just adore.I think the hair bounce is just fine to me as for the speed maybe its just my connection but it moves very fast on my hand so you have to really pay attention really see everything which is totally worth it though. All in all rock true believer and keep on trucking with the awesome stuff.

  2. I admire you animating on "Ones". It takes a hellova lot of time to do but the payoff is a super smooth animation.

Its not moving too fast. You might perhaps want to hold the frame after she smiles for a bit longer to give a bit of a bridge to the wave.

  3. From this computer and Rum's, it looks like the animation is far too fast. I've found some different things in ImageReady that may fix it but I've got to post it up again to make sure.

Good call on holding the frame just a little longer on the smile. I can and will do that but I may need to be reminded again since I re-frame it a lot during the animation process.

Man, you've got to pay attention to EVERYTHING when you're animating. I've had to go back and redo the hair since it was suffering a bout of shrinkage. I now know why they have character turn around models so that they know how the character looks from every angle.
