Updated: A little help?

I'm trying to make something dynamic but since I have no practice in the matter, I decided to post the WIP here and see if I can't get some feedback. Let me know if there's anything I can do to make it more dynamic. It's supposed to be Shade but I haven't added in her obvious details yet. Help me out guys!

Updated. Drew the face and worked more on the pose. I'm hoping this gives it a better feel. Still looking for any suggestions.

Story Book

Another resource for the creatively minded. Story book is fantastic, just plain and simple. I am currently working on my own story and having areas to fill out my ideas and organize them in a coherent manner makes my life much easier. Here are a few things I like about it so far:

Character organization.
I have plenty of characters and most of them don't even have names. Giving me a slot to fill out with names, dates, details and notes means that I can start figuring out who they really are. Starting out with the characters I'm the most comfortable with, it gave me a structure to work in so I can start doing the same for other characters. I've even started coming up with new details about them just because I've got the chance to focus on what makes them tick.

Location organization.
The same as characters, locations are just as important. To think of them as their own character and add in basic overview details about them, it becomes almost fun at this point. I'm using the notes section for these as a means to remind myself what this location means to different characters.

Threads.
A good way to give an overview of what you really want done. I'm using Threads to give myself plot points I want to cover as a whole and then go back to them to flesh out the in between moments. I've decided it's best to give a thread to a character you want to focus on, this would help keep you on track.

Chapters.
Chapter by chapter, scene by scene, this even has the option of letting your remind yourself if this is a script, first draft, second or so on. That way you can look back at it if you have lots of chapters and remind yourself how many times you've worked this part over. You can even write chapters out of order if you're so inclined to do so. It's nice to just have the option.

Best part.
It's free. You can buy an upgraded version of it, of course, but what's offered in the free version is fantastic.

I just realized that this might sound like I'm trying to sell something here, but I'm not. I'm just very happy with how the program works now that I'm in the mindset to fulfill my story desires and then start on the drawing part of the comic. This post also serves as a means to advertise that I'm getting really serious about my comic now. Anyway, this is for those of you who have a story to tell and as all artists, I believe we do.

New Portfolio work.

I have been making new portfolio pieces for concept designed based work. These pieces are from a game concept design that I'm basing of one of my earlier post on this site the Lunar Knight which are the designs for some of the main bosses the "Wicked. Once I have installed Painter on my computer I'll be adding more detail and colour to them.

Robin & Star Fire (finished)

I wanted to create a realistic-y Robin & Star Fire since they are one of the cutest comic couples ever imo >w> So I was messing with some photo stock (from cookiejarstock). The background is a photo I took and played with years ago when I was in New York. Arn't they so CUTE?! >W>

Black Cat & Spiderman

This is one of my favorite story arches everrrr >w> Based on a Yaya Han cosplay photo ref. Better late than never? Started this when the jam came out, but got wrapped up in writing about ARDS and nutrition for Leadership class. I know, s'cuses, s'cuses~ :P Anyhoo---was to lazy to add color. Maybe later.

Anyone else psyched for the new movie? I just hope it's not too much like the previous movies >->

Does whatever...

Last update. Here's everything all nice and inked. I may go back and add more heavy inking to the background later but for the most part, tadaaaaa. That leg was a b**** to work with and even now I'm not sure if it looks right or not. Angles and perspective are hard.
Update... Got a chance to add more details to everyone.

Well, instead of waiting any longer, I decided to post up my dirty dirty lines because I'm likely to procrastinate further and just never do anything more with it. I'm planning on adding the full webbing to his suite in photoshop. I also decided that I wanted to add something extra to his costume just to change things up. The back is the biggest change but you can't see it in this picture, but that guy in the picture can see it, and he. Is. Astounded.

Also, theme music goodness.

And just for kicks... (why do I love the simplest and dumbest of puns?)

Sting of the Spider!

This is one of the sketches I didn't completely hate. The idea was a Spiderman that had a few basic self defence lessons from Iron Fist. Coupled with his spider sense he'd become The Unstrickable Spiderman right? Wait, that isn't even a word.

EDIT: Here we go, I feel like I'm definitely starting to get the hang of SAI. Quick colors on this one, experimented a bit, I like how this came out, but it is sort of a boring picture with nothing going on. Anyway, awesome Spider-jam, I don't know anything about Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales, but I like the costume and wanted to draw him.

Spidey Sketch

"You drew me like a skinny nerd?! Oh wait...har, har!"

Had some nice action sketches going but drawing his annoying webbing put a stop to that. Fun character, not always fun to draw though.

Late than never?

Just did this today in under an hour. I thought I had until Friday so my bad.

Never really was much of a sonic fan to be honest. Oh, I mean I've tried. I've watched the Sonic X show, watched the old really bad sonic show, tried playing the old games, played some of the new games, played the dreamcast game. I gave him his fair share of tries but I could never get into the blue blur.

Babby's first painting with a tablet. In the spirit of the blue hedgehog I did this really fast, and that's why it sucks. Fixed the problems with his legs, number 1 being the color, I can't believe I made such a mistake!
